Hot spring closures and warnings

As of 22 Oct 2026, 10 of the 301 springs we track are closed and 30 have a warning worth checking before you go. 23 of them are affected by wildfire or this year's burn areas.

This list comes from the same automated check that runs on every spring page: Forest Service recreation site status, active wildfire perimeters and burn areas from NIFC, and National Weather Service warnings. Each entry links to its source. How the check works.

Using this list

"No closures reported" on a spring page means none of these feeds shows a problem. It isn't a promise the spring is open, because road closures and private operators don't always appear in public feeds. For resorts, check their own website before you drive.
