No closures reported
No closure, fire or weather warning found in Forest Service, wildfire (NIFC) or National Weather Service feeds. That isn't confirmation it's open, so check with Willamette National Forest.

Sources conflict: one guide reports the primary access route closed under a Forest Service emergency order after the 2022 Cedar Creek Fire, with Salmon Creek Road gated, while another lists the trail as open. Check with the Willamette National Forest Middle Fork Ranger District (541-225-6300) before visiting.
Post-fire hazards in the burned area: hazard trees, landslides and flash floods. Spring high water submerges the pool. Winter reports describe a cooler pool (about 65 F in one December 2012 report), plus downed trees on the road. Sulfur gas is noted at the spring.
