Checked 22 Oct · updated daily
No 2025-2026 closure found on the Carbon County tourism page or hot springs guide as of Oct 2026; both describe it as open 24/7 all year. Past closure: the town closed the pools in mid-May 2023 for algae during spring flooding.
Main pool runs 106-119 F, above the commonly advised 104 F limit, so limit time and exit slowly. Wet surfaces are slippery and can ice in winter. The adjacent North Platte River is a drowning risk in high water. No lifeguard and little lighting at night. Pools drain to the river and can grow algae when the river is high. Swimsuits required; no alcohol, open containers or glass. Pets are allowed in the park but not in the pools. Reported posted signs prohibit overnight stays and overnight parking.
