Why these made the list

  1. Fifth Water Hot Springs

Rock-walled pools at 100 to 102°F along Fifth Water Creek, reached by a 2.5-mile trail from Three Forks Trailhead. Hugely popular, so go early or midweek. Watch for bacteria advisories and shower afterward.

  2. Mystic Hot Springs

A rustic private resort with two concrete pools and five cast iron tubs fed by mineral water at 99 to 110°F. Visits are by reserved two-hour pass, and camping is on site.

  3. Homestead Crater

A pool inside a limestone dome, reached through a tunnel at Homestead Resort. The water stays around 90 to 96°F all year and is about 65 feet deep. Sessions are timed, and reservations are required.

  4. Crystal Hot Springs

A long-running commercial complex in Honeyville with hot tubs, a big soaking pool, a cooler swimming pool, a lap pool and water slides. Good when you want a day out with a mixed group.

  5. Meadow Hot Springs

Three deep travertine pools on private land near Fillmore, 100 to 106°F, free to visit if you follow the posted rules. The pools are over 20 feet deep, so bring a life jacket if you do not swim.

  6. Zion Canyon Hot Springs

A large resort in La Verkin that opened in July 2025, with dozens of pools between roughly 88 and 104°F. It has a 21+ area and family areas, and a waiver is required.

  7. Baker Hot Springs

Free concrete tubs on Fumarole Butte northwest of Delta, left from an old resort. Each tub mixes with a cold feed to tame the 180°F source. Remote desert, so bring plenty of water.

  8. Red Hill Hot Spring

Free natural pools below a red mineral mound east of Monroe, run at about 100 to 110°F in the middle pools. The upper pool is often too hot. Dark swimsuits advised, as minerals stain.
