No closures reported

Checked 22 Oct · updated daily
Searched for 2025-2026 closures, mine access restrictions and fire notices: nothing found online either way. The only access statement found is an older trail listing saying permission is granted by Phelps Dodge Mine (posted). Check for posted signs and contact the company before visiting.
Access crosses private mine land, so follow posted rules and stay clear of structures and homes near the start. Flash floods are possible in the canyon. Thermal water in grottos may be hot; test before entering. Untreated hot spring water carries amoeba and bacteria risk, avoid getting water in the nose.
