The site showed a short maintenance closure on October 20-21, with reopening October 22. An expansion with new pools, saunas and cabanas was planned to break ground in 2025. The Sauna Summit with five saunas has since been added. Sources disagree on reservations: the tourism site says they are encouraged but not required unless sold out, while other pages say they are required for 3-hour or 5-hour soaks. Book ahead to be safe.
The mineral water is iron-rich and can discolor swimwear and jewelry. Hot pools and surfaces call for care. Children under 5 are not allowed in the small geothermal pools. The world-inspired pool area is adults only (21+).
