Cottonwood Hot Springs is a developed, privately run resort west of Buena Vista on the Cottonwood Pass road. It has five outdoor soaking pools at different temperatures, a sauna, a spa and on-site lodging. The public can buy day soaks, and the 136F source temperature from the NOAA list is cooled to soaking range in the pools.
